I’ve been slacking a while on my blogging but I’ve decided I need to jump back in! I found the poster below particularly appropriate for me tonight and maybe it will be inspiring for someone else too. I’ve been crazy busy with work, both my day job and Jack’s Master and sometimes things can get so fast-paced, i lose track and make careless mistakes. That’s when I start beating myself up and thinking “I suck. I should just quit.” But then I try to remind myself that mistakes happen. I need to learn from them, keep working hard and not give up. It’s not easy. It definitely IS easy to get frustrated and give up. But I have another glass of wine, occasionally cry ( I blame the wine) and keep going.

Last weekend I got to go wine tasting with some friends. It was one of those little outdoor festival things where you line up about 100 tents filled with wine and taste one after the other until they all taste the same. “Tastes good to me!”

Well amidst the blur, there was one bottle that stood out among the rest. Not necessarily for taste, because frankly I don’t remember, but more because of the label. What can I say? I’m a designer. I pay attention to labels. Call me a label ho.

Anyway, so I came across this bottle of wine that stopped me in my tracks because of its amazing detail and all around gorgeous design. The wine is from VML which stands for Virginia Marie Lambrix, the winemaker and the label is designed by design house Stranger and Stranger. I looked at their portfolio and they have quite a few beautiful label designs under the belt. You can read more about the story behind the design here.

I love the horizontal placement of the label too, and the wrapper – amazingness.
Now i just need to buy a bottle and taste it!
