I recently worked on an invitation for a CandyLand-themed party and collected some images that I thought would make a fantastic real-life CandyLand. Lollipop centerpieces and look at that CAKE. Every piece id candy imaginable. Yum.
Below is best though. Lombard Street here in San Francisco turned into CandyLand one day. I had the pleasure of seeing it in person too!

Only my favorite game EVER as a kid. It involved all of my favorite things. It’s a game, about CANDY and it’s all pretty and colorful. Well this Wednesday Candy Land is celebrating it’s 60th birthday. (Man Candy Land, you old.) To celebrate, they are making a real life-size game on Lombard Street here in San Francisco. Children age 6 to 10 from UC San Francisco Children’s Hospital and the nonprofit Friends of the Children will compete in four teams of six down the curvy street. They will begin sugarcoating the streets at 4am on Wednesday and the game starts at 10. You can see Princess Lolly, Princess Frostline and King Kandy in the flesh, as well as a giant cake shaped like King Kandy’s castle at the finish.
