It’s been around for quite some time now, this trend channeling the 1980s. You can’t escape it. Especially when stores are selling shirts like this:

Meow.

I even broke down yesterday and bought a pair of hightop sneakers. Red ones. And they may or may not (they do) have a wedge heel in them. Anyway, where am I going with this? Well I was inspired by this resurrection of my childhood fashion and thought why not make a birthday card from this -specifically for us children of the 80? The inspiration is endless, but I chose a few of my favorite things from the decade including Dukes of Hazzard, crimped side ponytails, Madonna, and all things neon.

Here’s my card surrounded by actual items being sold today. See what I mean? Straight up 80s. And if you like any of them, they’re all from Urban Outfitters. Shocking I know.

If you have a friend born in the 80s who has an upcoming birthday, do check out my card on Etsy. At least check it out to see the little surprise on the back.

Here’s just a little taste of my Pinterest addiction. Hopefully some of it can inspire a little creativity or at least a good laugh.

I’m flattered someone liked my concept enough to copy it onto a sign. That’s completely cool as a one time thing, but I do hope whoever did it is not making a business out of it since I’ve now found it all over Pinterest. I originally created this “Finally” concept as a Save the Date but do offer it in various forms such as signs, invitations, buttons and whatever else it can be. I paint each couple custom to look like you and your fiance. I’m also looking into moving beyond just the word Finally. So stay tuned! And if you like the sign above, contact your truly on Etsy. Thanks!!

We’re so excited that our invitations were featured on Muni Diaries today! When Kevin and Jennifer came to us wanting a Muni-themed (that would be a San Francisco bus to those who aren’t locals) save the date and wedding invitation, we were SO up for the challenge. We love it when couples have fun and interesting stories of how they met and want to incorporate that on their special day. Congrats again to Kevin and Jen!

Here are some envelopes I have been stamping to go with some invitations I designed for a retiring CPA. No more meetings, no more suits…

A little cheesy, but I didn’t want to go with your standard Christmas photo. So instead, I painted me, my husband and Jack as nutcrackers.

Happy Holidays everybody!

Our PupStar Series is on sale now for the holidays! Marked down from $40 for the set to $25. Individual PupStars are available too on our Etsy site. They make great stocking stuffers! Who doesn’t want a little Doggy Gaga or ZZ Dog in their Christmas stash?

Check them out on our site.

Our long awaited “I Foggy Heart SF” t-shirts are finally here!! Well almost. They’re being printed as we speak, BUT you can pre-order one now and we can over night it to you just in time for Christmas. Or pre-order one now because they are a limited quantity and the first series.
Believe me, anyone who has at least visited San Francisco in the summer knows how chilly and foggy it can get. Unfortunately sometimes they learn the hard way by only packing shorts and realize fast, “DAMN it’s cold here!” But despite all that gray, we still love (foggy heart) our city by the bay!*

Pre-Order one here.

*I did not mean to rhyme there.

Each photo is accompanied by touching stories of love, devotion and friendship, written by each dog’s owner. (the AKC is not affiliated with this project). This book features more than 300 dogs in all their glory – full color images taken at iconic San Francisco locations including the Golden Gate Bridge, Fisherman’s Wharf, the Ferry Building, ATT Park, and more!”

Hell, I kinda want it. Hmmmm. Maybe is they do a second volume I can get Jack in there :)
