I went to Tahoe this weekend and discovered this new boutique hotel, Basecamp. Needless to say, I am obsessed now and will be staying here the next time I’m in Tahoe. I love all funky little boutique hotels because their design and attention to detail is always so cool! I can’t get enough. They took what used to be some ugly outdated hotel and made it into a chic happenin’ kinda place. I’d say it’s like the Ace Hotel, in the woods. Hence, hipsters in the woods.
I found this before and mid-way through shot on their Twitter site. I just hope if I ever buy a cabin in Tahoe, I will be able to see the potential in a place like they did.
And now check it out:
Original artwork throughout done by local artist Wendy MacNaughton – love her stuff.
Want. to. stay. in. every. room.
Neon green Adirondack chairs? Yes please.
And can we take a second to appreciate this one particular room “The Great Indoors.” With a giant TENT in the room, faux fire pit and picnic table. Love.
Check out even more photos on their website here.
