Last weekend I got to go wine tasting with some friends. It was one of those little outdoor festival things where you line up about 100 tents filled with wine and taste one after the other until they all taste the same. “Tastes good to me!”
Well amidst the blur, there was one bottle that stood out among the rest. Not necessarily for taste, because frankly I don’t remember, but more because of the label. What can I say? I’m a designer. I pay attention to labels. Call me a label ho.
Anyway, so I came across this bottle of wine that stopped me in my tracks because of its amazing detail and all around gorgeous design. The wine is fromĀ VML which stands for Virginia Marie Lambrix, the winemaker and the label is designed by design house Stranger and Stranger. I looked at their portfolio and they have quite a few beautiful label designs under the belt. You can read more about the story behind the design here.

I love the horizontal placement of the label too, and the wrapper – amazingness.
Now i just need to buy a bottle and taste it!
